Stella McCartney keeps it short, simple and sheer for Autumn/Winter 2010

She couldn’t have been more simple if she tried. Stella McCartney went back to basics for 2010 and kept hemlines short, patterns simple and choice cutouts sheer.  The collection as a whole works wonderfully with what we have already seen for fashion weeks this season.  It looks as if Stella’s collection could actually act as a backbone for other designer collections with less focus.  Her tailoring is exquisite. Her colouring may be bland to some but we find the grays, nudes and blacks to be essentials that are easy to justify spending loads of money on as they are investment pieces that will last you years. More or less what we are saying is that we will be buying everything Stella McCartney releases for this season and our justification for throwing down such an insane amount of money will be the idea that the pieces are timeless.
