I can remember watching the Miu Miu Spring Summer 2010 show and wondering what on earth was going on with all the graphic prints. At first they didn’t make sense. It was a shock to the system and I walked away somewhat stunned by what I had seen and tried to picture in my head how it would translate into the real world when the day came that the prints were released in store. I knew it would be something exciting. Then the first time I saw the pale yellow sheer shirt with graphic collar was actually on Tavi’s blog, Style Rookie. At thirteen, Tavi was beyond words at having this garment in her wardrobe. The craze was lifted to another level. The shoes were released and every fashionista worth mentioning had to have a pair of the awesome platforms in one graphic print or another. No matter that the heels begin at five inches. It’s worth the pain for the beauty of the shoe. The sparrows are perhaps the most recognizable print of the Miu Miu Spring Summer line and it is definitely a print that will be remembered even twenty years from now when our daughters are wanting to borrow our “vintage miu miu”….what a thought.
