NET-A-PORTER.COM launch first global men’s wear on-line retail destination

This is huge news so I’m not even going to bother rewriting the press release as you need to know this now and in detail….this is word for word what I just got on email and I am jumping up and down and doing a little dance in my office. What fantastic mid-week news! Congrats Net-a-Porter and thank you for finally doing this!

10th June 2010, London

Ten years to the day that it was first founded The NET-A-PORTER group announce the launch of a dedicated men’s wear site –  MR PORTER – the first global shopping destination of its kind.  Open for business 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and offering the most discerning selection of men’s fashion.

MR PORTER will launch for the Spring/Summer 2011 season in January 2011 and will offer an edited product selection of the best in men’s style, from global designer labels to niche specialist brands alongside original editorial and style advice.  

MR PORTER launch partners include Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, YSL, Margiela, Balmain, Dunhill, Margaret Howell, Rick Owens, John Lobb and MR by the designer Roland Mouret.   The unique product offer will feature approximately 60 of the best men’s wear brands with a balance of global must have brands together with local specialists and discoveries from around the world.

MR PORTER will be powered, curated, edited and served by an independent world class team who will benefit from the global infrastructure of the NET-A-PORTER group, a site with ten years of online luxury retail experience delivering to 170 countries worldwide.

In this the 10th Anniversary yearof NET-A-PORTER.COM Natalie Massenet says:

MR PORTER will offer same day delivery service in London and Manhattan with express delivery to the rest of the world.
