Caramel Baby and Child Clothing will make any woman broody

I am currently without children. Trust me, this is probably a good thing. When looking at sites like Caramel all I can think of is dressing future children in the most gorgeous little pint sized outfits and surely a mother should be thinking of more than all the clothes she will buy for her baby girl, correct? My debt will surely quadruple as soon as a little goose comes into the world…so it’s better to stick to spoiling my many nieces and nephews at the moment which I can do for a much lighter tug on the purse strings!   I digress.

I’ve been getting a lot of emails from friends who are either pregnant or have two little rugrats running around the world already. They all want to know where to go to buy quality children’s clothing that will not only look fab on their first born but might also last through a second (or even a third).  This is a tough one as so many retailers these days are manufacturing quantity over quality.  However, there is one shop I always recommend, hands down – Caramel.  Why, you ask?  Well, Caramel is honestly a shop that creates timeless fashions for children. Plus the quality of the items is so high that they will last for one or two children if need be.  You know the look will never go out of style so there’s no risk.

Caramel because it has a really great story behind it and I love a good tale to tell when handing over a gift at a baby shower or sending a care package across the pond.  Eva Karayiannis, founder and designer of Caramel, is actually a trained lawyer.  The uber-stylish young mother of two was looking for some high-end clothing for her two children and found nothing that could satisfy her needs. So what does she do? She decides she’s not only going to solve the problem for herself but also for mothers all over London. Caramel was born and became an instant hit with fashion conscious mothers. Their celebrity and stylist following is out of this world and they have quite the stockists list which includes Barneys New York and Bon Marche.  If you are a Londoner you can find Caramel’s shop on Sloane Square and concessions in Selfridges and Harrods.
