Alright ladies, here’s the deal. You’ve all heard my schedule. I wake up at 5am and catch up on the fashion news until 7am. Then I tube into my 9-5 PR job. Then I come home and write until 1am. I’m averaging four hours of a sleep a night! That is ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. But I do what I have to. I’m happy with it…I love it in fact. So I have to try and and save time wherever the hell I can these days. That’s where this recommendation comes into play. I was recently gifted a Philips Satin Perfect Epilator. I’ve had girlfriends that have absolutely sworn by epilators rather than razors but I’ve never given in to the hype. The occasional cut sounded like a better deal than painfully plucking hairs from my legs. I don’t do this much but I am happy to admit that I was so very wrong to slam something I had never tried.
After using the epilator for the first time this week I’ll say the razor has gone straight into the trash. Why have I been shaving daily when I can quickly epilate and have frizz free legs for weeks?! Stupid, stupid, stupid. Oh the time I have wasted over the years. Honestly, who has time to shave every single day in the summer?! Here’s my new regime…every other Sunday I will use the Philips Satin Perfect…then it’s smooth sailing for a fortnight. And here’s why I recommend the Philips model above all else:
The new Philips Satin Perfect has an extra-wide head which enables it to removes more hair in one stroke, giving you long-lasting smoothness, faster. Its high performance discs are made of textured ceramic material, which gently grip and remove even finest hairs. http://www.philips.co.uk/
Now, as I am new to this whole hair removal process I asked friends for tips and they all seem to work a treat…
1. Epilate under warm running water after you have been in the shower for at least five minutes.
2. Epilate against the direction of hair growth.
3. Pop a few Advil two hours before epilation if you have a low threshold for pain (ahhh yes, this was me).
4. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate…before and after!
Good luck, ladies, and let me know how it goes!
