Great news for those of you serving time in more than one wedding this summer as a faithful bridesmaid. Rent the Runway have launched a great new platform for Bridal parties…you can rent your dress online instead of buying it! This will completely revolutionize weddings.
I can’t even count how many ugly bridesmaids dresses I’ve had to purchase over the years and I promise you they’ve been worn once then thrown in the closet and forgotten. It would pain me greatly to add up the amount of money I have spent on dresses I wish I had never been pictured in! I’m not alone in this agony. Nearly every one of my girlfriends has their own horror story when it comes to being a bridesmaid and it almost always involves the dress!
So back to the announcement at hand, from today Rent the Runway will offer rentals of Bridesmaids dresses staring at $65 for an eight day rental. And before you start to think these might be the cast offs of other weddings, let me stop you there! If you are familiar with the Rent the Runway concept you will know that they only rent out the best of the best when it comes to the latest in designer fashions. The bridal pieces are no exception. They will even have dresses from Badgley Mischka for the occasion! And who doesn’t look good in a Badgley Mischka dress?
