Tea fit for the Royal Wedding in London…

Alright Royal Wedding enthusiasts,  here’s your first event to book for the big day ahead.  The Podium Restaurant at the London Hilton on Park Lane has created a special afternoon tea to commemorate the pending nuptials of Prince William and Kate (or are we supposed to say Catherine now?) Middleton.  The limited edition Sapphire (as inspired by the gorgeous engagement ring) Afternoon tea will be available from 26th April until 1st May 2011. So if you’re planning on being in town for the big occasion, I’d call to book a table now.

Complimentary ‘Loveberry’ cocktail on arrival

Fresh raspberries, strawberries, blue curaçao, lime and soda water over crushed ice

Foreman’s smoked salmon & horseradish

Honey roast ham & Pommery Mustard

Prawn mayonnaise & baby gem lettuce

Cucumber with cream cheese & chives


Freshly baked plain or raisin scones served with clotted cream and blueberry jam


Freshly baked chocolate chip scones served with a chocolate praline spread


Blueberry jam cupcakes with ‘K’ and ‘W’ iced decorations

White chocolate cupcakes with ‘bouquet’ icing

Miniature Fancies

Chocolate and passion fruit hearts covered in white chocolate

Shortbread ‘wedding cake’ with gold leaf
