Marion Cotillard is a French woman in high demand! The actress is not only appearing on American Vogue’s August cover, as announced earlier this week, but also on the cover of French Vogue August 2012 (and, incidentally, also on the cover of Marie Claire UK August). While she may be the chosen face for both, her looks could not be more different.
For French Vogue, Marion Cotillard was shot by Mario Sorrenti and is showcased on the cover in an extreme close up. When you have a face like that I suppose you really don’t need much else to sell magazines, or do you? Only time will tell.
One can only assume that at the end of the month Conde Nast will sit down and compare the numbers between sales for American Vogue and French Vogue. If only they would share and then we’d know for sure if it is Marion’s full face or 3/4 body shot portrait that is preferred by the people. Stay tuned for the American Vogue cover shot. It’ll be winging it’s way on to the scene any moment now.
For those of you who can purchase French Vogue, I will say this is one issue you will certainly not want to miss. Besides Marion Cotillard, Mario Sorrenti also shot a phenomonal editorial featuring 80 must have looks for the season ahead. Some of the portraits are out of this world and above and beyond frame worthy!
