Now I can’t quite put my finger on why, but something is definitely off when it comes to this cover of Sarah Jessica Parker for Harper’s Bazaar China. No, it’s not the outfit as that’s pretty flipping fierce. And it can’t be the hair, as that looks shiny, bouncy and generally fantastic. It’s all about the face. We know that this is in fact Sarah Jessica Parker, only she’s been photoshopped to such an extreme that I’d say this stopped being SJP after the tenth swipe of the smudge tool on her face.
When will magazines ever learn? We love the cover star you are shooting, wrinkles and all. Have a go on Photoshop, fine! But please don’t insult us all by attempting to turn the clock back by twenty years.
