A Monday Must: Prospect’s posh bucket of chicken in Brooklyn

For those of you that have a fried chicken addiction, allow me to introduce you to a new concept that launched at Prospect in Brooklyn while I was in New York. My favourite Brooklyn eatery has taken a bucket of chicken and made it a posh affair. No longer must you suffer the indignity of feasting on greasy chicken in your local fast food chain. Now, you and friends can enjoy what I consider to be some of the best chicken north of the Mason-Dixon line, and all the while feeling quite dignified in doing so.

Every Monday night the restaurant will offer Fried Poussin, Housemade Sauces, Cornbread,
Housemade Cole Slaw, and 1 Side for those wishing to partake. Sides vary from week to week according
to season, except Truffled Mac & Cheese – which will be permanent. Halleluah! Priced at $15 per person, it’s worth every finger licking penny for this bucket bargain. Oh, and if you need some more bucket activity, they also have buckets of Buds to accompany your chicken.

I just had to share as this is my new must visit for a Monday out of Manhattan. Until next time, Prospect, I’m telling the world about your fried goodies. Get ready as I’m sending in the troops! Whether you are a New York native or from further afield, put this Monday night destination as a must visit.

Prospect, 773 Fulton Street between South Portland and South Oxford in Ft Greene, Brooklyn
