It’s no secret that the wonderful Donna Ida is a dear friend of mine. I’ve written about her jeans and her London stores before. In fact, our whole relationship started years ago when she fitted me for a pair of J Brand jeans. Since then, I’ve never trusted anyone else when it comes to my denim selections, not even myself. They don’t call her the Jean-ius for nothing.
I’m pretty ashamed to admit it’s taken me a whole year to get myself into Donna’s own line, called Ida. Yes, I know I deserve a giant slap on the wrist for such a delay, especially knowing what I know now. Tonight, I received my first two pairs from the line and I am walking around my flat like a proud peacock with nowhere to go. Honest to God, I finally have the arse I’ve always dreamt of having. I’m calling Mrs. Ida in the morning and demanding I get first purchase rights for all future products.
You guys, I’m not sure if it’s the pockets, the stretch or the genius high-rise syle of the jean, but never in my life have I slipped on anything that is more flattering or more comfortable. If you are in dire need of denim that works, try these on. Please! I know I can’t guarantee that they will work for everyone, but I can’t say enough good things about these beauties. Even the fading is appropriately placed to slim thighs and elongate legs. Love, love, love.
