Style Update: The Woman in White for a Beaufort Weekend

I may be jumping the gun this season with the little white dresses, but I can’t help myself. The minute I see a blue sky and temperatures in the seventies, I’m out there swanning around in white like my life depends on it. The little white dress has quite honestly taken the place of the dozens of little black dresses I used to own when I worked in the corporate world. It wasn’t something I did on purpose. The little black dress just slowly disappeared over the years and in came the colours and the bright whites and you won’t find me complaining one bit.

Today, we’re off to Savannah to meet up with a few friends and to chow down on some good southern food. But, I wanted to share this flash back to Beaufort from the weekend. The weather was absolutely glorious and downtown was alive with locals and tourists enjoying the flawless spring day. You don’t know happiness until you’ve strolled down bay street with an iced tea float from Scout in hand and the sun on your face. This is my absolute definition of happiness. I don’t know if you guys ever have moments where you stop and everything feels just as it should be, but that is exactly the emotion that was flowing through me in this moment. I may split my life between London and Beaufort, but the USA is always really home and the Lowcountry isn’t just home, it’s heaven on earth.

All are welcome to visit! I’m starting to think I should hold a bi-monthly visit for Londoners needing escape from the day to day hustle and bustle of the city!
