This morning journalists and photographers from the around the UK gathered at the Tower of London for the big reveal of Stella McCartney’s Adidas British Team Kit for the 2012 London Olympics! This was no ordinary runway as the presentation showcased Britain’s top athletes modelling the collection that they will wear when they compete in the games this summer. Big names such as Jessica Ennis, Phillips Idowu and Ellie Simmods took to the stage in competition kit, training wear and presentation suits. The main theme of the collection… the Union Jack of course!
Get ready to see this kit everywhere. Over 900 athletes will wear the designs from head to toe which equals roughly 175,000 items of clothing! For those of you that want to get the gear for yourselves, look for items to hit stores in April.
