Jason Wu opened his Spring Summer 2013 show in New York with the help of one of fashion’s favourite supermodels Carolyn Murphy. Her dress was an accurate preview for what we would see throughout the runway looks. Wu took leather and lace to a new place for spring summer. It’s not all about the leather contrast sleeve anymore. Now, thanks to Wu we are seeing everything from leather suspenders to leather bustiers for the season ahead. It was a show where a ladylike elegance was definitely on display but it seems to come with a bit of spice. Perhaps Wu was reading Fifty Shades of Grey while designing the collection?
