To be honest, they say they are looking at 100 women for the ten remaining spots for the Victoria’s Secret 2012 Fashion Show, but in reality that list has been whittled down quite a bit.
Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of women dream of becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel but in reality very few in our lifetimes will ever make the cut. Only 35-40 girls are in the show every year and before the casting seen above there are 25 girls women that are official angels and are thereby given a slot automatically. Adriana Lima, for example, is celebrating her 12th year as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. If all angels are to have a similar lifespan, or longer, only a few hundred women stand a chance at being named an Angel. So you can understand why the women that wear the wings strut their stuff so confidently on the catwalk every year. They are part of an elite group of women who will forever be known more for their boobs and buttocks rather than brains. But don’t let that fool you. These women are incredibly clever and definitely have their eyes on the prize for business.Watching them in action with media behind-the-scenes before the show was one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen in fashion.
