Todd Lynn slashes and layers for Autumn Winter 2013

Todd Lynn has become one of the hottest tickets for London Fashion Week, and rightfully so. This is a designer who challenges us all to rethink so much about our wardrobes each season. While other designers may agree to follow certain trends on the catwalk, Todd Lynn is the innovator who throws out the book on looks and rewrites his own manual. The end result is usually beautiful pieces including magnificent coats that are finely tailored but feature a unique asymmetrical cut or an exaggerated feature.

For autumn winter 2013,  the “exaggerated feature” was the “cut in the coat”. We are of course referring to the slashes on the arms of the cocoon like oversized coats. This  instantly takes a standard shape for a coat and stamps it with a 2013 Todd Lynn customisation. And let’s not forget, he also gave us a full fur sleeve this season, that seemed to hang out of the “slices in the coat.” Basically, we’re once again looking at falling in love with Todd Lynn’s outerwear situation.

Then we have the dresses. Oh, the dresses. I won’t spoil it… take a look.
