Seen the 12-foot high Mr. Darcy floating in the Serpentine?

I’ve yet to meet a female on this earth that hasn’t swooned over the famous scene from the BBC adaptation of Pride & Prejudice where Colin Firth, aka Mr. Darcy, goes for a dip in his white shirt. It’s a scene that forever has a place in many hearts. So imagine our surprise when we spotted a 12-foot high Mr. Darcy floating in the Serpentine here in London. Complete with the dripping wet white shirt, this is certainly a sight to behold.

While the Mr. Darcy statue is in part celebrating the 200th anniversary of Pride & Prejudice, it was in fact commissioned by UKTV to promote the UK’s new television channel Drama. Definitely dramatic. Check out all the details herewith…
