Well isn’t The Dorchester all nicely dolled up for the holiday season?! The Christmas trees are out, the carousel ponies are in place and the guests are arriving for a very chic festive afternoon tea in the promenade. Now all we need is a sprinkling of snow and a hot chocolate in hand overlooking Park Lane and we have the perfect Dorchester moment.
Last week I was invited into The Dorchester for a look at their afternoon tea, in full swing with Santa hat cakes and other festive favourites. The tea was held in a Dorchester Suite, in conjunction with the fine folks at Asprey, who are celebrating the opening of their new popup shop in the hotel. This spells trouble. I already have a weakness for both brands, but having them working together is surely just a disaster waiting to happen…for any bank balance. I took a look at both the tea, and the shop, for those looking to venture down to The Dorchester for a shop and sip. Yup, I’m officially trademarking this experience as such…. A Dorchester Shop and Sip.
