I’ve been wanting to do a try on for this brand for as long as I’ve been doing try ons and, as I knew I was going home, I placed a big order early. I would say about half the trousers/jeans I wear are from American Eagle. I love that they run up to a size 24, have the best stretch in the business and also accommodate long legs! I have been buying from them for years and I rarely return anything I order. So that’s my big talk up for this beautiful brand. Worth every penny. And as you guys are always asking me about my boyfriend jeans… I’m letting you in on the secret. I buy every single boyfriend jean that American Eagle bring out. A few things to highlight before you get stuck in. I’m wearing a US18 in all sizes order and an XL in tops. I have also ordered everything in the longest length available! You’ll see this sweater a few times, so I’ll cover all the basics here and only here. This is a great lightweight piece that can easily be layered for autumn, under a a heavy jacket and over a shirt. Tie dye is hot, has been forever, but this year it seems to have a special place in all hearts. Get involved in this one. It’s as chic on a couch as it is out at a bar. It’s all about how you wear it.

I actually have these shorts in three colours. I love that they aren’t super short, are somewhat loose, as they are boyfriend style, and are loaded with stretch! I wore these out while I was home, just wandering around the island in day to day life!

The softest hoodie that money can buy. No joking. If there is a second lockdown, I reckon this is all I’ll be wearing. It’ll be my security blanket. American Eagle do the best sweats. I don’t know how they get them so soft, but they are, hands down, the comfiest on the planet at the moment and come with a great price point.

It’s all about the stretch here, again. And, I mean they’re camo… what more do I need to say? Perfect stretch camo pants… why are you not buying these right now?! They can be styled a thousand ways, are super comfortable for lounge days and will hold you through every season of the year. I can do Kung Fu kicks in these beauties. Not that I really need to, I’m just saying I can.

I’ve never really been sure of what a mom pant is. Is it supposed to be inspiration taken from the pants our moms used to wear? Who knows. But, I’m here for these. Again, epic with the stretch and comfiness. But also super easy to wear with just about everything. Throw on some converse and I can walk out the door just like this. I’m imagining a more Ralph vibe with a fair isle sweater and leather loafers…but that will come soon enough! Watch this space.

If you buy one thing… it’s these. I call these my Jackson Pollock Studio jean. I like to think I am out and about looking like I’ve just come from my artist’s studio in perfectly worn in denim, splattered with paint splashes. Not sure if that’s what everyone thinks, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. These are stretch free, as they are boyfriend jeans, but they are my favourites, forever and always. I ALWAYS order the American Eagle 90s Boyfriend Jean. No exceptions. I am currently rotating six pairs. Obsessed, people. It’s a real thing.

Again with the stretch… if you are looking for a jean that makes you feel like you wearing pajamas but is obviously not pajamas, these are for you. They are jeggings that are truly jeans. I think we all know what I’m referencing here. Remember that horrible moment in fashion history where people wore leggings that were actually leggings and looked like leggings but people called them jeggings? I’m trying to erase it from my memory. These are not those jeggings. This is real denim. But it’s heaven on earth to wear, comes in a huge size range and, again, accommodates all lengths of leg!
