Sneak Peek: Dior’s Harrods invasion from exhibition to retail therapy

If you happen to be in Knightsbridge today, you may notice that your favourite legendary department store has a bit of a different look. From the decorated shop windows on the ground floor to the matte grey flags that fly from the second floor and beyond, Harrods has had a Dior invasion! We were lucky enough to receive a special sneak peek at the Dior takeover before doors open at Harrods to the general public tomorrow morning. I’ll just say this and be done with it… you do not want to miss this display.

For those of you unfamiliar with Dior’s rich and lengthy history with the UK, this exhibition will be an eye opener. From royal followers, including the Duchess of Windsor and, of course, Princess Diana, to a look back at the very first store opened by Christian Dior in the UK, this exhibition on the fourth floor feels more like a time machine than an actual space at Harrods. While I am tempted to go on and on about every detail I discovered, I feel as if I would be doing you a great disservice in revealing all that I encountered. This is a display best taken in with your own eyes and you’ll be glad you made the trek.

Should you require a retail incentive for visiting the Dior Harrods transformation, rest assured there are plenty of mementos to take home with you from cupcakes to carrier bags. There are even Dior Harrods teddy bears and exclusive Dior makeup designed purely for this grand event.

Here’s a little look into what you’ll discover at Harrods from tomorrow. It’s a Dior journey you won’t soon forget.
